COVID 19 Update

Under the current circumstances, staff at YPWS are working hard to take the best approach to managing the health and safety of our Service Users, and follow government issued guidelines.

We recognise that the situation may change on a daily basis, and we will update you as this occurs.

Update 10/05/2020: Eastleigh Youth Counselling Service is still taking referrals and working remotely with young people.

Our dedicated team of counsellors are working from home in a confidential dedicated area for privacy to talk with our Service Users. We are a dedicated young people’s service and in this surreal time we find ourselves in, we want young people to know that are able to offer them a space to talk through how they are coping with the changes.

We are offering Telephone/FaceTime/Skype etc platforms so we can do an initial assessment and if suitable for virtual counselling we can then offer weekly 50 mins counselling sessions or a 15 minute check-in each week for 6 weeks. Alternatively, our Face-to-Face waiting list may be more appropriate, these sessions will run when our venues re-open – bearing in mind the wait will be longer.

We are a charity that provides free and confidential support to young people throughout the COVID -19 crisis.  To find out more please text or email us.

TADIC Hedge End: Update 22/06/2020: Please ensure that if you come to the Wednesday clinic (3-6pm) you wear a face mask, or face covering (e.g. scarf). This will help us to minimise the risks. Thanks

Update 10/05/2020: The clinic is open Wednesdays 3pm-6pm, with some important changes to business as usual. You must be symptom free in order to have a face to face service. We will triage cases at the door and you will be contacted via your mobile phone by a clinician. If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms, we will not be able to see you and would refer you to seek advice through calling 111 and advise you to start self-isolating. We appreciate this can be frustrating and an unsettling time, but we all play a part in preventing the spread of the virus to those vulnerable individuals, and that includes yourself, your family, and our staff.

Please note, we are continuing to provide attendees with FREE CONTRACEPTION as required, as is our usual service. We are also able to fit implants and give depo provera injections.

Thank you for your patience at this time.
